Putin delivers speech on Ukrainian invasion today as the world continues to stand against Russia’s recent actions against the independent nation of Ukraine. Putin claimed that the motive behind the invasion of Ukraine includes the demilitarization of the state of Ukraine. Putin also touted that Russians and Ukrainians are one people and that they have essentially been “brainwashed“ to believe otherwise. Putin also continues to claim that the motive of the Ukrainian invasion is to bring down any Neo-Nazi forces. Putin claimed that the fighting styles and organization of counterattacks of Ukrainians are tactics used by Nazi forces in the past.
Putin also reiterated promises of the payment of insurance funds and other financial assistance to the families of those Russian soldiers lost in the crisis. Putin pledged to ensure the financial assistance of those families affected by the military campaign in Ukraine. This financial assistance includes a whopping 2.9 million Ruble payout for anyone unable to continue to fight due to sustaining disabling injury during the invasion of Ukraine.
